Hello, I recently picked up knitting. Although my mother taught me how to knit when I was around 9 years old, but I only got into it seriously this past December.

Step-by-Step-Sweater by handmade by florence

The first finished object is the step-by-step-sweater form handmade by Florence. It’s knitted in Drops Paris 48 Petroleum and Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk in 11 Green. The Pairs looks a bit more blue than I would have liked, but together with the brushed alpaca silk it looks more turquoise/petroleum. I made the size C.


Square Neck Camisole by Helene Beba

My second finished object is the Square Neck Camisole by Helene Beba. I used Drops Flora in 15 Green. I knit size M and did 12 repeats of the body shaping.

This was a really nice knit, because I could take it to uni and knit during lectures.

It turned out a bit short. But since I have over a skein of the yarn left I’ll probably go back and add a few more centimeters.

Mountain Walk Socks by handmade by florence

I finished the first Mountain Walk sock and am currently working on the second sock. This is also a patten by Florence and I love the pattern. It’s simple but interesting. This will probably become my go to sock pattern. (I maybe change up the ribbed pattern from time to time)

The pattern is written so well, it really helped me finishing my first fitting sock.

I am knitting the socks in Crelando Anika in the Grey-Black Self striping colorway.


Robinson Warp Cardigan by handmade by florence

Next up I’m working on another pattern by Florence – her Robinson Wrap Cardigan. I’m knitting a Size C in Drops Flora in 05 Dark Grey held together with Drops kid silk in 22 Ash Grey. Currently I’m on the first sleeve. I’m really excited to wear this over dresses or as a blouse this summer.


Wednesday Addams edition of the Step-by-Step-Sweater by handmade by florence

My last WIP is a second version of the Step-by-Step-Sweater. I’m modifying the pattern a bit. I’m knitting the yoke and body flat to incorporate some colourwork. The olourwork is inspired by Wednesday Addams' knit Vest. The Sleeves will be knit in the round.

For this I’m using Drops Alaska in 02 Nature and in 06 Black.
